I’ve designed a womenswear collection inpsired by my father and my interest in sportswear. This project is about me as a designer, my interests, with my skills and my own style all inspired by parts of my life. Ive researched into motorbike gear, sportwear clothing and womenswear.

I chose to visit some motorbike shops as I remember going there a lot as a kid with my dad, he owned a motorbike which he would work on and buy parts and clothing. I have a strong memory of his motorbike jacket that he would always wear, it was black and red with different panels. I didn’t know much about clothing back then as I was so young but he wore it a lot so I knew it was important to him for many reasons.

I design so that people can wear a garment often not just for style but because it’s useful, to make it durable and practical. I decided to look at motorbike gear as it reminds me of my dad, I believe the style is trending and the clothing is practical.
