Waterproof pocket with white top sticthing
I designed this gilet for a music artist to wear on tour. I didn't have a design in mind but I wanted to be free with no pressure or rules to follow.
I added waterproof fabric on the shoulder for when it rains that it keeps the top half more dry. Adding a waterproof pocket helps to keep the contents dry and from getting damaged.
Black denim to give contrast to the design, you can see I've even kept the selvedge on the fabric as I like it for detail. Top panel made from waterproof fabric with reflective piping, using white lines to create more shapes.
I used fabric, thread and zips that I already had instead of buying new materials and fastenings. Sustainability is key to my brand so I think its important to start the new year by reusing what I already have.
Made this design by just changing the pattern as I was creating it and this is the final result. No toile was made, just went straight for the finish line.
